HICKORY, N.C. (February 3, 2017 ) – San Francisco-based Open Table recently announced Cafe Rule &
Wine Bar the winner of last month’s Best Overall Restaurant, Charlotte. In addition, Open Table also
recognized Cafe Rule for Best Ambience in November and January, and Most Romantic Destination and
Best Venue for a Special Occasion in January.

with local contractors and designers to revamp the existing spaces, as well as add new spaces, including
a new private dining room, called the Chef’s Table, and a new private patio with fire table and
amenities. The result is a beautiful space, full of fun and quirky details, including a stunning display right
at the front door featuring a fully-restored antique motorcycle. Every few months, Cafe Rule rotates the

“It was a natural fit for us,” says Lackey. “Many of our family members grew up riding bikes just like
these and to host these bikes on loan brings back a lot of great memories. I hope it does the same for
others. We’re already seeing people make special trips to check out the new bikes as they come in the
Cafe Rule & Wine Bar, located at 242 11 th Avenue NE, Hickory, North Carolina, features a selection of
great wines from all over the world, both by the glass and the bottle. The extensive menu is full of small
bites, creative meals, and selections for vegetarians, as well. The restaurant has a variety of options for
seating for intimate dinners and large groups, including private dining rooms.
Cafe Rule will also launch a new wine club next month with fantastic prices on more than 3,800 wines
available by the case, in addition to the nearly 500 world-class wines on its in house wine list, as well as
special events, such as wine tastings and private parties.
Cafe Rule TV, launching first at Cafe Rule & Wine Bar, is an interactive media channel that will allow
guests to speak directly with chefs and vintners all over the world, as well as participate in the
preparation of their meals at Cafe Rule.
